Sébastien Marot is a french philosopher working on the art and history of the environment. He was selected as curator for one exhbition of the Lisbon Trienal. As a continuity of my master thesis, I was part of the curating team, helping also for the swiss production of the exhibition. The content shown propose a selective reading of agriculture history and its continuous link with architecture history.
More than an agregation of books and images, the exhibition weaves a radical discours inviting all the architects to rethink their professions and open to others fields of design like permaculture and more globaly agriculture.
The discours is beautifuly served by two masterpieces. One is a 60 meters long timeline of an history of civilizations, drawned by Gaetan Amossé . The others is four proposals of scenarii showing four directions we could choose to go. They are the art of Martin Etienne . The timeline helps us to understand our past and the scenarii are a compass for the futur.
