Toulouse, like many cities is growing fast. The territorial situation of the city allowed for decades to grow horizontally and Toulouse is now surrounded by residential suburbs that occupy the old agricultural land. 141 ha of land, named Paleficat, in the north of Toulouse, are planned to be urbanized and received 6'000 housings units.
This project investigates the way to build first an agricultural infrastructure that will be the base for housings. Bringing back the city into the fields allows us to multiplicate the interactions that can resolve several urbans problems. Weaving back the relation between agriculture and housings generates social, economic and spatial values for both inhabitants and farmer.
This project bases the reflexion on a theoretical research I led in EPFL during 4 months.
